The 4 Series is offered as a coupe, convertible, and coupe-like four-door. With the coupe body style discontinued from the 6 Series lineup, the 4 Series coupe is the largest offered coupe by BMW. As for the convertible, the 4 Series drop-top sits above the 2 Series convertible but below the larger 6 Series convertible. BMW extends is Gran Coupe body style to the 4 Series lineup, too, joining the bigger and costlier 6 Series Gran Coupe. A high-performance M4 model is offered on the coupe and convertible.
The BMW 4 Series comes standard with 18-inch double spoke light alloy wheels, LED headlights and fog lights, 10-way power front sport seats, SensaTec upholstery, Fineline Anthracite Wood trim with Pearl Gloss Chrome highlight, adaptive cruise control, iDrive system with 6.5-inch display screen, power moonroof, interior ambient lighting, and a three-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel. Add more luxury with the Executive package that adds Icon adaptive Full LED headlights with automatic high beams, a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, speed limit information, and Parking Assistant. If you prefer exterior styling, opt for the M Sport Package that includes an aerodynamic kit, M Sport steering wheel, and 18-inch M Star-spoke wheels.
Available driver assist safety features include blind spot warning and Active Driving Assistant that consists of Frontal Collision and Pedestrian Warning with City Collision Mitigation, and lane departure warning. Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go keeps a pre-selected distance from the vehicle in front of you, great for stop-and-go traffic. The 4 Series comes standard with a safety feature that will automatically disconnect the alternator, fuel pump, and starter from the battery, turn on hazard lights and unlock all doors in the event of an accident.
