NEW 2022 Mercedes Benz S450
Overview
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz S-Class lineup currently comes with a choice of four engine options paired to seven- or nine-speed automatic transmissions; rear- and all-wheel-drive (4Matic) is available. Currently, the only available body style is the sedan, but expect coupe and cabriolet models to return to the lineup.

Safety
Mercedes-Benz loaded the 2022 S-Class with the latest in active safety and driver assistance technology. Available features include adaptive cruise control, Active Steering Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, Active Speed Limit Assist, and a Route-based Speed Adaptation system that can reduce speed based on map data (if a curve is coming up). Additional features include Active Brake Assist with Cross-Traffic function, Evasive Steering Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Car-to-X communication and Pre-Safe Plus. The new Pre-Safe Impulse Side inflates the seat bolster when an impact is detected to move the passenger up to 2.75 inches away from the crash zone and Pre-Safe Sound will omit an interference signal in an effort to prevent hearing loss.
