NEW 2022 Lincoln Continental
The 2022 Lincoln Continental is the automaker’s new range-topping sedan, slotting above the MKZ and replacing the MKS. One available engine option will be a new EcoBoost 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 that’s expected to make 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Base Continentals with a less powerful engine will come standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available. Although the 2022 Continental doesn’t pretend to be a sporty car, drivers can tailor the car’s suspension and steering responses via the Lincoln Drive Control system, and choose between Comfort, Normal, and Sport modes.
Inside, the 2022 Lincoln Continental is available with genuine wood and metal inlays, and 30-way adjustable seats. Heating, ventilation, and massaging functions are available for front and rear occupants. A full suite of safety features including adaptive cruise control, Pre-Collision Assist with pedestrian detection, and a 360-degree view multi-camera system are also available. For an extra layer of personalization Lincoln’s Black Label program offers three designer themes: Chalet, Thoroughbred, and Rhapsody, the latter of which is only available on the Continental.
The Lincoln Continental has been revived for the 2022 model year and will replace the MKS as the brand’s new flagship. Although front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive will be optional. A new 400-hp 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6 will be used exclusively for Lincoln and is available in all-wheel-drive-equipped Continentals. A 3.7-liter V-6 and a smaller EcoBoost 2.7-liter twin-turbo V-6 are also available. Other features include Ford’s Sync 3 infotainment system, massaging seats, heated and ventilated front and rear seats, and full LED headlights.
