The new Wolfsburg Edition replaces last year’s base Passat S The Passat Wolfsburg comes standard with 17-inch wheels and a 6.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, both upgrades from what was found on the S. The Wolfsburg also gets keyless entry and pushbutton start, leatherette upholstery, and heated front seats and side mirrors, all features that weren’t available on the outgoing base model. For $1000 a Wheel & Roof package can be ordered, which brings 18-inch wheels and a power sunroof.
Volkswagen is simplifying the lineup of the mid-size Passat sedan for 2019, with just two trim levels and one engine left standing. Every Passat is now powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four with 174 horsepower and 184 lb-ft.
Every 2019 Passat gains automated emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and blind-spot monitoring, features that were all previously optional or only found on higher trim levels.
