PERFORMANCE AND FUEL ECONOMY

The front-drive 2022 Odyssey is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 that produces 280 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It delivers an EPA-rated 19/28 mpg with the standard nine-speed automatic and the optional 10-speed automatic. In Motor Trend testing, the Odyssey Elite hit 60 mph in 6.9 seconds and stopped from 60 mph in 124 feet.

SAFETY

The Honda Odyssey is considered an IIHS 2018 Top Safety Pick for receiving the highest rating of Good in all crash tests. Thanks to the automatic emergency braking feature in the Honda Sensing package, which is standard on the EX trim and up, it also earns the highest rating of Superior in the front crash prevention test for avoiding collisions in 12- and 25-mph front crash prevention tests. The package also includes lane keep assist, road departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise control. The 2021 Odyssey received the highest five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA.

UTILITY (CARGO SPACE AND INTERIOR ROOM)

With all rows up, the 2022 Odyssey offers 32.8 cubic feet of cargo room behind the third row, 86.6 to 89.2 behind the second row, and a whopping 140.7 to 144.9 cubic feet behind the first row. The first and second rows have 40.9 inches of legroom and the third row has 38.1 inches.

TECHNOLOGY

The base infotainment system in the LX trim includes a 5.0-inch screen with Bluetooth and a seven-speaker audio system. A larger 8.0-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM satellite radio come equipped in the EX trim and higher. The EX-L Navi/RES trim sports the Cabin Talk system, a rear seat entertainment system, and a navigation system. Cabin Watch and mobile hotspot capability are found in the Touring trim and the Elite trim adds a wireless phone charger and an 11-speaker audio system.
