The 2021 Audi A8 is the brand’s flagship sedan, slotting above the midsize A6 sedan and A7 four-door hatchback.
The redesigned 2021 Audi A8 is all-new and rides on a new platform that features a 48-volt electrical system that supplies power to the optional active suspension and infotainment system, and also improves the car’s fuel economy.
Two engines will be available in the 2021 Audi A8 including a base 3.0-liter turbo V-6 with around 335 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque and an optional 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 with around 453 hp and 444 lb-ft. Both engines will be paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Available features will include laser headlights, the newest version of Audi’s MMI interface with a touchscreen instead of the more familiar knob and button setup, heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, all-wheel steering, heated armrests, an electronically controlled active suspension, and a foot massage function for the passenger-side rear seats.
In addition to the usual active safety features including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, blind spot warning, lane keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection and lane departure warning, the 2021 Audi A8 also features maneuvering assist, an automatic parking system that can park the car into a parallel or perpendicular spot, an exit warning system that lets you know if you might hit someone with the door, and crossing assist, which uses the radar up front to detect for possible collisions.
