The 2019 BMW 3 Series received the highest five-star rating from the NHTSA for the sedan’s overall safety rating. The 3 Series is considered a 2017 Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS (the organization’s highest honor) for getting the highest score of Good in all crash evaluations and the score of Advanced for front crash prevention with the available Frontal Collision with City Collision Mitigation. The 3 Series was able to reduce the speed of a 12 mph collision by 7 mph and the speed of a 25 mph collision by 6 mph. Blind spot warning, front and rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control are standalone options.
